fuck your cultural bullshit

at 4:30 this morning i was woken up to a loud crashing, banging, drumming, whistles, screams, music. the annual west indian parade has started - four hours early. i'm all for the celebration of cultures that come from elsewhere and live in this neighborhood, it's great that these people are all happy about celebrating... but please, please please please please FUCKING STOP. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST IT'S 4:30 IN THE FUCKING MORNING. I'M TRYING TO SLEEP. I'M FUCKING EXHAUSTED. STOP!

i can look out my window and i see that people have rented budget rental trucks and attached trailers on back. they are driving at a snails pace, one after the other. on these trailers are structures that people are standing on where they are scantly clad and blowing whistles and playing instruments. which is fine, and dandy, i don't give a shit what you wear - JUST DON'T FUCKING BLOW WHISTLES AT 4:30 IN THE FUCKING MORNING.

i checked out the local news. apparently the parade is scheduled to start at 8am. yeah right. fuck this fucking parade. i'm so mad right now... actually i'm not really mad anymore i mean i can't win. there are police out there and they're doing nothing to stop this so i guess this is normal and okay. the earlier they start the earlier they finish, right? stupid fucking fucks. grr. i'm boycotting this stupid fucking parade. of course my earplugs are packed away somewhere in this pile of crap and i have no idea where they could be. big fat sigh. the noise is slightly quieter in the bathroom so i think i'm going to go try to sleep in the tub now.
